Gift returns- anyone else feel guilty?

We just had our shower, and we got lots of the stuff we needed but also several things we didn't register for and likely won't use. I am going to try to return most of it at Babies R Us for store credit, but I feel so badly as I know the giver was being thoughtful! Anyone else feel guilty about returning unneeded gifts?
(Not a poll question- has anyone ever noticed that you returned said gift??)
