How is it being a single parent?

It's one of the most challenging yet rewarding jobs on this planet. Even being a single dad. There's no greater feeling then being able to say eveything that your child/children has, you made possible by yourself. I was a single mom for 4 1/2 years, I've struggled, cried, screamed and hit the brink of break down. But my babies happy and healthy. She may not have gotten all the things she wanted, but she had all the things she needed and it was all made possible because I refused to give up. I wouldn't have changed one thing about my life after baby, it just made me stronger and a better person. All those tears were well worth it.

Hard. Very hard! You can't even imagine. You're ALWAYS responsible alone 24/h a day, 7 days/ a week, 52 weeks/ within a year. For about the next 20 years minimum.... You've always to pay the bills alone, you have to do all things alone - even when you are sick or need a rest! It doesn't work without a social network from other ( not single) mums and you need support of your whole family. I'm a single mum since my daughter was 4 years old, and got a son too later. You won't have much of an own life... But on the other side: you've your children.

I was raised by a single mom. I watched her struggle a lot. It's the hardest job in the world! But if you're committed to doing your best, your kid(s) will turn out that much stronger! You can do it!

I will raise my second son on my own but his brother has an active and loving father. I do worry how it'll affect my second son since they have the same dad. I've decided I will not tell them they have the same dad because it's not going to be easy telling one son his dad loves his brother but refuses to accept him. My exes family wants to be apart of his life but I think it will only confuse both kids if they don't even know they have the same dad.

I raised my son alone for 10 years. It was hard at times but worth every moment. I  got married almost 4 years ago. Personally... Marriage is much more difficult and challenging ( for me ) than being a single parent. much less conflict and confusion.  Make your child and their well being top priority and things will fall into place for you.  Don't worry about what other people are doing or what other families look like. You have your family. Don't envy others... That's just the devil trying to depress you.  All a child needs is someone they can count on 100% to love and teach them. Not fancy clothes or toys or whatever.  You will be ok... Or better.  Fantastically in love.  Living life with purpose.  Enjoy every minute.

I've been a single mum for 10months and was single throughout the pregnancy, personally I love it! It is hard but to see my wee boys face smiling and laughing it lights my day up 😊
