Where can I have a shower ? Need help ladies !

Question

I live an hour and a half away from everyone.. and all my friends are broke.. so I'll come to there town to have a shower.

I cant do it at any friends houses as they have no room for it.. and I'm on a budget for a place.

I want to spend like 120$ on the whole thing. Where could I do it ? Like is it weird to do it at a restaurant ? I'm so lost.. I dont have anyone to do it for me.. 😣

I would say either a park or do a no-host at a restraunt. I thought about the restraunt, but I felt like it would take a lot of energy to socialize with everyone and decided to go to a park instead. It has gazebos with picnic tables and a big play area of anyone one wants to bring their kiddos. Just doing homemade cupcakes and some lemonade and a couple snacks. I would rather money be spent on baby than a party.

Do it at a family church! They usually don't charge!

I would suggest a city park and rent a pavilion. 120 doesn't go very far so nature can be your decor, pick a good time of year for weather. Have ppl bring dishes and you're good to go!

I'm doing it in a nice pub, I've been to a few showers in the pub. However I know this is a very English thing to do!

Depending on where you live that's not a tight budget at all. Where I'm from a lot of the restaurants have back "party" rooms specifically for these types of events. Otherwise parks, churches, or town halls. Some just require a damage deposit. Have a potluck, and make your own cupcakes. I'm not big on wasting money on decorations, so I won't be having any at ours. But you could look at thrift stores or dollar stores for decorations.

If you wait till it's warmer often you can use public parks with like pavilions or picnic tables  for free. Then you can just spend your budget on simple decorations and snacks. Do it at a off time, not mealtime, so you don't feel obligated to have a lot of food.

I scheduled my first at a park that had a gazeebo, small pier and a lake.. It was pretty nice.. You could see if you could do a pot luck with friends and everyone brings something small... This time we are having it at my condos club house... If anyone is in an apartment see if they can contact their HOA and see if they can rent.it... Theres usually just a deposit for cleaners if things get out of hands but if you bring your own vacuum and trash bags youll get that back.. You can also order pizza and get a cake and chips and things and have a nice shower :).. Just some ideas... No one is throwing mine.. We are doing it ourselves..
