Breastfeeding/nipple shield

Has anyone or is anyone breastfeeding using a nipple shield !? I had to start using one today because I just can't handle the pain anymore when my daughter latches on with my nipples being so sore and beat up , it gives them a little relief .. I'm pretty sure I'll continue to use it for now while feeding her .. Does anyone have experience with this !? PLEASE comment and share with me !!! I'd really appreciate it !
