Mid cycle spotting .....help

I had 3 days of spotting (very light,brown in color) on CD 19 20 21.I went to my doctor today.She gave me daflon and said the spotting will stop..can anyone please tell me what can cause this and if some one else also experienced it.I m TTC for 11 months now ?
