Baby girl named Eden?

My husband and I are athiest. We LOVE the name Eden. Neither of us associate the name with religion, we just think it's a strong, beautiful name. But we have had a few people tell us otherwise. Is it okay for us to name our baby Eden even if we don't believe in the bible?

I am a Christian, but I wouldn't bat an eye if I knew an athiest who named their baby Eden. It's beautiful. To me, it does have a religious meaning, to others, it simply doesn't. I love the sound either way, religious or not.

I'm not religious and my son's middle name is Elijah ☺
I wanted Eden for our daughter so I could call her Eedie 😈 but I'm happy with the names we have chosen. Love Eden though!

Not religious and my sons name is Malakai... Everyone assumes I named him for religious reasons.. My parents aren't religious and I have a sister named Elisha and a brother named Joshua

I'm a active grace believer and I don't even think of eden as a religious name. I mean, there was the garden. However, that's not even a focus point for most Christians... It's barely spoke of! Its a beautiful name, proceed! :)

I like a lot of names from a lot of different cultures/religions/books,shows, etc that I'm not associated with.

I'm spiritual, myself, but I don't think Eden is too biblical at all. It's pretty!

Dude, I'm the SAME way with the SAME name! I named my baby girl Eden anyway! I didn't want people associating it with the bible or anything, but they do. So just be prepared for that. Lol. I actually got her name from a band. Haha
