Has anyone ever experienced a false positive pregnancy test?

3 days ago me and my husband had a positive pregnancy test. Yesterday, I started to cramp and spot. This morning I woke up to a big clot.😢 We went to the ER and a blood test was done and they are telling me I was never pregnant??? My heart is crushed!

I had a very light positive last month. Then everything after was negative and I got my period almost two weeks after it was due. My doctor said it's hard to tell if it was a false positive or a chemical pregnancy. I'm sorry. It's a terrible feeling. Unfortunately chemical pregnancies are very very common.

You were pregnant! It's most likely a chemical pregnancy and they are so disappointing! I lost mine at 5 weeks chemical a few days before my confirmation test and I had taken 5 different tests over the span of a week including a digital so no one can tell me "I was never pregnant". How cruel and insensitive, they should have explained the possibility that it had been a chemical pregnancy. I'm sorry for what happened, hope you get a new bfp soon!

I have 3 times. My doctor never acts surprised by it, even though I'm shocked. She says some people are just prone to it I guess, or some people just happen to take it at the right time in their cycle or something. Never have gotten a real straight answer.

Yes I have. I got a positive, cried my eyes out ( didn't want a baby ) I literally forced myself to pee on another test. It came back negative. A day later I started my period.
