I'm exactly 36 weeks today BUT measuring 38 weeks & 5 days.... Do you think I could possibly ask to set up a date to be induced while at my checkup today?? ( I've had puppps for three weeks as well) BASICALLY IM MISERABLE 😩😩😩

Unfortunately, the size of the baby has nothing to do with the development of the baby! I wish, though. I'm 36+1 and measuring 38 weeks too. But measuring 2 weeks in either direction is normal and not considered too big/too small. My doctor is very adamant about not changing my due date. We just might have bigger babies! Good luck!!!!!! This last stretch sucks, but baby needs all the time it can get! It makes me feel better to know that baby can pretty much come whenever now. Hopefully she won't be too stubborn and won't make me wait another month!! Talk with your doctor, though, she might have some thoughts.

I honestly believe if your little one is not ready to come into this world just yet on his own and the doctor had no health concerns you should keep the baby in as long as you can your 40 weeks. At 36 weeks the lungs are not fully developed and your baby would automatically need a steroid shot to increase the strength of them working. As natural as possible is better. Plus, I had my son completely natural no pain medication, nothing and the contractions were out of this world painful but my daughter gave me medical problems and I had to be induced to save her life and again I had no pain medication and I promise you I would take natural birth contraction over induced contractions any day....just thought I'd share what I know.hang in there and good luck!

Is the baby measuring big or just your stomach? If baby is measuring ahead they might want to induce for size reasons but if it's just your belly and baby is growing normal then they probably won't want to induce.
