Just found out We are having a girl. Since last June, we have had the name Cooper in our heads for either gender. My husband and I are both in the military and we were driving home to Wisconsin from Texas when we were pregnant the first time and came up with that name because we just kept seeing everywhere along the route home . We quickly came up with names for both a boy and a girl without any fighting ! Cooper Alan or Cooper Joyce. We lost that baby at 6 weeks but we continue to call the second baby Cooper or baby or baby coop. All of our family and friends seem to like Cooper and think it was cute for either gender, except for my mother in law. Look on her face when I said we were thinking of Cooper for a girl was a little off. So that made me a think family and friends weren't really expressing the truth which is fine with me because I did not ask for their opinion anyway, and I appreciate that I'm not telling me what they think about a name we picked out because that's on common haha. But I still want to see what other people think not that I care all that much but I'd still like to take into consideration what other people might think of the name. We also like the name Addison for a girl so we have that as a backup name. Now that we know its a girl my husband doesn't like Cooper all the sudden. I still kind of like it but I really love Addison as well. I would love to name the baby Anniston over Addison, but most of my life, people have told me I look like Jennifer Anniston, so that would be weird. Im sure Ill lose that look after a baby anyway though! I have two middle names and so does my sister and two of my cousins. I kind of want to keep that up but it is sometimes a pain to write out all of that but you don't have to do it all that often in life. Hubs is not a fan of 2 middle names, but likes the Addison Cooper Joyce combo. Oh...and Joyce is my paternal grandmother's name so that's the reason behind that name. What do you think of these......? I really like going with Addison Cooper Joyce because flows better than Addison Joyce Cooper, but it sounds a lot like Anderson Cooper. Last name is one syllable if that helps.
