Water Breaking?!

Question

Can anyone describe what it feels like when your water breaks? I'm pretty sure every experience is different so can y'all share? Painful... Not painful... Leakage or full on burst??? I'm a FTM so idk what to expect. 39+1 so I'm getting nervous.

Mines broke unexpectedly while sleeping but I didn't know until I got up out of bed. I immediately started leaking, enough to soak through what I was wearing and for it to go down my leg. It stopped but every so often, maybe every 5-7 minutes, a gush of fluid would come out again. I never had contractions or pain so being a FTM, I didn't know if it was my water or not until it kept happening and I called the hospital!

I woke up feeling like I had to pee barely made it up and a small gush came out. Went to the bathroom and couldn't leave because I had a slow constant trickle. Had to wear a pad to the hospital (15 min car ride)
And needless to say it was soaked by the time we got there. I didn't feel my contractions till the started me on pitocin.

Mine was like "oh.  I feel a little wet" so I looked down then all of a sudden I felt this pop sensation then a steady trickle started and didn't stop till I gave birth.

I think it can be very different for everyone. All my labors have been different as well as the water. With my first it was the pop and then gush. My second the Dr had to pop it right at 8cm. And my third it was a slow trickle up until birth.

Mine broke when I was laying in bed, I just felt a huge gush but no pain. I was leaking for a long time after that as well. Contractions never really started after my water broke though. It was probably the craziest experience because I'd always read that only about 10% of women experience their water breaking in a gush so I never expected it to happen to me! Haha

When mine broke it felt like a pop . And a gush of water ran down my legs . But no pain. For a few minutes then the contractions started .
