Is Aiden too popular?

I always see Aiden in the "most popular names" but I don't personally know any or any mom's using this name. Do you know a lot of Aidens? We love the name but don't want our little boy to be 1 of 3 in a classroom. Our second choice is Hugo. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! James, a family name, is the middle name. Thank you!!!

I think that Aiden is popular, but the real "issue" I have with the name is all of the other popular names that sound like it. Jayden, Kayden, Brayden, Hayden, etc. The SOUND of it is so trendy these days, for boys and girls, and that's what has turned me off from it. Otherwise, I have always loved the name Aiden!

My husband wants Aiden or Atticus of we have a boy. I don't mind Aiden besides that it is a popular name (my daughter has 2 Aidens in her class and both are handfuls). My daughter when she was born was 1 of 3 Mackenzie born on that day alone in our hospital (there were 5 Mackenzie by the time we went home the next day). It's hard to pick a name!

As a preschool teacher, I have run into many Aidens. Just a warning: they are typically the high energy trouble makers! When comparing class lists at the beginning of the year the teachers always joke about who has the Aidens that year! Obviously there is no science behind this and probably is just a coincidence! Otherwise, a very cute name for a little guy! :)

While it is popular, where I am anyway, I still love the name, and if you do, I say use it. We have a Joshua (8 yrs old) and that's a popular name, though we haven't run into it being *too* popular. He's in 3rd grade and has never had another Joshua in any of his classes yet. We are naming baby #3 (boy #2) Gavin, and I know that's popular, but I love that name and feel like a mama to a Gavin, so we are going for it!
