I don't know if I want one. So far for my baby shower for my first I got a lot of stuff. A lot I didn't even have to buy for the first year especial due to my mom bring a first time grandma lol. For my daughters parties i invited the same ppl from the baby shower but they either don't show up or show up with no gifts for my daughter. They come late, leave early & just eat all the food. It really hurts b/c I feel used or w/e. That was for her first bday then even her second that just passed in November. I put a lot of money into the food & decor & it's not even fair I feel. So I'm not sure if I want a baby shower b/c this time around money is a lot tighter with this being my husband & i second baby & he also has a 5 year old son he helps take care of that's with us on weekends. I'd rather spend money on the baby & things I need than to waste it for a shower & everyone shows up & I get nothing out of it & that money just basically got wasted. I was thinking maybe just let everyone know I'm not having one but feel free to get me something if they want. Whether at the hospital or when they come visit at home for the first time. Only thing is I was very aware my first shower of everything I needed to buy b/c I didn't buy anything until after the shower b/c I was like if someone gives it as a gift there's no need to buy it. This time I'll probably just buy what I want everyone can ask me for what's specifically needed if need be or exchange things. I'm really not ungrateful & I don't expect anyone to be held responsible for my child as far as buying things but I'm sure you ladies understand where I'm coming from.
