Heavy periods after miscarriage?

I have had two periods now since my miscarriage in November. Has anyone noticed that they are heavier after a miscarriage? And more painful? Or is this not normal?

I had to have a D&C due to a missed miscarriage. My cycle a month later was awful. I soaked through a tampon *and* pad every one to two hours. I had to leave work (R.N. in Burn ICU so I was on my feet running for 12 hour shifts). My period after that one was back to normal.

With my first 2 they were normal but the last miscarriage I was in my second trimester and my periods were terrible the first two months (heavy & painful) then the next was light and normal and I got pregnant off that cycle.

Both of mine have been heavier than ever but I had no pains. I don't normally get any kind of cramps with AF. First one i spotted for 6 days and then 3 days heavy. This last one 1 day spotting then heavy flow for 5 days. Hope they don't show again for 9 months! X

I've only had one so far, and it was very heavy and very long! Lots of cervical pains. We are back to TTC, but AF seems as though she's about to show up. Ugh :/ this sucks.

I just got mine back on Tuesday and it's normal or better than normal. It wasn't that heavy or painful. I was just telling my s/o that this is one of the best periods I've had. It's just about over. I just see a spot on my pad and next to nothing When i wipe.

I've only had one period since my mc. It was long (7 days instead of 4) but not more heavy or painful.
