How do you keep sane before first ultrasound?

Question

We just found out were pregnant again! We have a 2yo who was born at 34 weeks, a mc last October and now pregnant due this october. I'm so anxious, and nervous and my doctor isn't doing much to make me feel at ease as of yet, my appt is still 3 weeks out I think I'm going to loose my mind.

The anxiety doesn't go away. I'm going to my 4th ultrasound at 19 weeks this week and I'm freaking out the closer it gets. But I trust that God has a plan for me and for this baby. Trying to give to God what I have no control over.

I just kept reminding myself "what will be will be."  Getting scared and worked up won't help matters. We have no control over it and we need to accept that. As hard as it is.

I just kept telling my self about my two friends who each had a miscarriage with their first and went on to have one and two health babies after. And that theirs no reason to stress until it happens we can't control it

I tried to to stay busy, try not think too much about it... Truth be known - I don't think I was that successful.

We found at with our first pregnancy at the first ultrasound that the baby wasn't developing - to boot the radiologist had no bedside manner - so the whole experience was pretty awful.

I was at a different clinic this time and the whole experience was so much better. I was dizzy when they showed me the heartbeat because I'm pretty sure I had been telling myself I wasn't really pregnant. It was definitely nice to walk out having seen a heartbeat and with some photos.

My therapist told me to tell myself as often as I have too "in this moment I am pregnant" because I spend a lot of time worrying about the what if and getting anxious.
