How many more diapers?

Question

I know we are not supposed to stock up too much but there are a lot of good coupons out there right now for diapers. 
Currently I have 1 small bag of N and 2 big boxes of 1. I think baby will come out wearing 1s most likely due to size. 
What do you recommend, if any, on additional diapers I can buy beforehand?

If you buy too much in one size, stores like target will let you take back unopened boxes and swap them out for the next size up. :)

I'm not sure you will be using two large boxes of size 1. They grow so quickly. Newborn diapers were almost too big for my daugter and she was in them for 6 weeks. She was also in size 1 and 2 for 6 weeks and size 3 for about a year! She was in size fours for about 6 months and now size 5's becuase she was peeing out of size 4's. She's almost 2.

I heard expect to go through 7-10 diapers a day. If you have a regular size baby you'll need NB for at least 3 weeks. If you have a big baby you may need size 1 after the 1st week. I bought cloth diapers in case he comes out big because he's been measuring big. Cloth diapers are supper adjustable. I also have a pack of NB and 2 packs size one. I plan to do both cloth and disposable but I have a feeling he won't really use th NB size.

Not sure why your not suppose to stock up on diapers.

I didn't buy any diapers since we received alot from our showers. I have 3 big boxes of newborn, 2 big boxes of size 1 and 1 big box of size 2. I'll open boxes as we go and if they move up a size and I have an unopened box I'll just exchange it at the store.. My kids are preemies and under 6lbs so eacg size lasts them a long time

I worked at a daycare with the infants for 1 1/2 years and felt like most of the kids spent forever in size 3's! I'm sure it varies a lot from infant to infant, but that's what I've noticed :)
