What prompted the decision to move from Not Preventing to TTC?

My huzzy and I have been not preventing for some months now and this month I think I'm going to start with the OPKS and work my way up from there, maybe I'll even throw in some Mucinex. Seeing AF today and feeling the familiar waves of disappointment made me decide to take action this next cycle , and I hope all goes well!! Pray for me! Baby Dust to you all !!! 🌺🌸🌹

Hubby was waiting for immigration to go through we stopped preventing in the summer (stopped the pill) and I started tracking data to prepare knowing it would go through by the end of the year but when he finally moved here in November we started trying in earnest.

We got married and stopped preventing. Then we were surprised with a pregnancy June 2015 but miscarried at 6 wks and 5 days. After that we both decided we were really ready to be parents and went full on ttc.

I'm not familiar with OPKs or whatever you mentioned, but we decided jointly. I'm older, I'll be 29 next month. My husband is military, so everyone is like 25 with three kids, sometimes 4... We had our first Dec 2014 and I wanted to have another back to back, but my periods are so painful that I went on the pill. I'm pretty sure I also had a early miscarriage before I got on the pill. But right now, I know about 10 women who are pregnant and having babies and I just couldn't stand it, so I talked to the hubby who was hesitant, but my cousin just found out she's having a boy and my husband was like "that's it! I can't take this anymore!! This baby fever needs to STOP so let's start trying!!" Lols obviously I had no objections haha !! I got off my pill over a month ago now, so hopefully soon, we'll get a BFP 😊

We never went the "not preventing" route. We're in our early 30s, and once we decided we were ready, we went full into TTC mode. Six months from now, if I am running into trouble, I want to know that it's just just because we had our timing wrong, etc. I want to be able to pursue other avenues of needed, because we're a little older just getting started with #1.

Love it! I love hearing everyone's journey and Kudos to hubby! Mine was hesitant as well especially after the miscarriage but he got on board when he kept seeing everyone around us announce their 2nd , 3rd or 7th babies!
