How do I put in a tampon?

Question

I've looked through other posts but I just keep seeing "Instructions are on the box" but I got mine from samples because my mom doesn't like the idea of something other than a penis going into my vagina, it's ridiculous.  But I have swimming for school and I have tried previously to use tampons and they're always uncomfortable and my friends say it's not in at the right angle? What angle do I put it in at and how?

Are you able to use google or YouTube? I feel like they'd be able to explain it a lot better than any of us.

Tampons aren't for me. I'm almost 22 and I still can't figure them out, lol. Good luck!

I sit down on the toilet and put thumb and index finger on the ridge of the tampon, at the base. Insert the tampon( the plastic or cardboard part) until your finger touch your vagina then push the bottom part in until you feel the tampon in all the way. I hope this helps ! I use to have such a huge problem putting tampons in. One day all my friends and I were going to the beach and I was so determined to get it in. I sat on the toilet, leaned back so my body was already at an angle sort of and tilted it slightly downward. When I first started it was hard to get it perfect and I would freak out whenever it wasn't at the right angle because I thought it hurt. Honestly now whenever that happens which it still does I just keep pushing it and it just feels like pressure and it'll go where it's supposed to. People say oh don't do that but literally vaginas are so tough babies come out of them, I think they can handle a little tampon. Also remember you put the applicator inside push in the tampon and pull the applicator out once you put it in ALL THE WAY. Do not be afraid it put it up in there, I use to think it just stayed at the opening and wow was that uncomfortable. **just saying this bc I was trying to help my friend and she stuck the whole applicator up there and I was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!! Well good luck! Much cleaner than pads as well!

I struggled with this for years. My problem was, I wasn't tilting them downward enough, nor was I pushing them in far enough. Good luck. I feel your pain.

Okay 
1. Get into position standing up, bend knees
2. Take the tampon and put it in gently, do not push tampon yet
3. When the top of the tampon is in, push the bottom of the tampon (taking off the applicator) 
4. Stand up straight now. Should be completely in, nothing out except the string.

Well, you try placing your tampon as far in as you can to try and make it feel uncomfortable. After that, you push the tampon in and you should feel it (idk I can't describe this well) and pull out the plastic part out. If it still feels uncomfortable, do some squats or some other exercises so that it adjusts well enough to not feel that way. I don't use tampons often, only for sports, but I hope it helped in some way.

when it is in far enough you won't be able to feel it at all. remember to change it every 6-8 hrs.
