How much clothes should i buy for my new born baby?

Im 18 weeks pregnant and soon will begin to buy baby things but im curious? How much clothes should i buy or what sizes should i start of with? I heard baby tend to grow super fast!

Babies grow SO fast. I'd recommend to not buy a ton of NB clothes. Just a handful should do. I think average sized babies don't tend to fit into NB for very long. Of course in my family we tend toward the bigger end of the average scale, like 8.5 and up (even my first was 8#6). But it's probably better to stock up more 0-3 and 3-6 at first. That way babe has at least a little room/time to grow before you have to size up. ;)

I've made the mistake of buying a tone of clothes in all sizes and I wish I had waited because #1 all baby's grow differntly and sometimes skip a size! #2 people give you ALOT of baby clothes as gifts as well as handy downs from friends and family. I'd recommend just buying the basics in the first 2 sizes and then buying what you need after bubs born 😊

I have about 10 -15 newborn and 0-3 month outfits. They are gender neutral since we don't know the gender. I figure after the babies born and if we need more clothes we can always buy more that are gender specific then. Plus I know once family and friends find out the sex they will want to buy more outfits.

I usually buy just a few newborn outfits. I bought about 12 0-3 outfits and onsies. I like the baby gowns because they fit as the baby grows. I got several gowns for 0-9 months. I got a lot of 3-6 and 6-9 outfit sets. Just keep in mind what season it will be when your baby is each size.

Every kid is different. The advice I got was get a few newborn items and a few 0-3 months. Then, when baby comes, you will be able to see what sizes you need and how fat baby grows. If you buy stuff now and baby grows too fast or you don't use it or whatever, you won't be able to get your money back, even if they still have the tags
