How young is too young to get engaged?

So this is something my boyfriend and I have been talking about recently, with him saying that he wants to know what I think about getting married young…and he knows that if he asked me today I would say yes and be planning a wedding six months down the road lol; but he always ask me if I think we are too young, and age was just something I never thought about wit this…So I just want you alls opinion on this.

The easy answer is : you get married whenever YOU want to. 
WISE answer: plan ahead.  Don't get married just cause u want a paper and a ring to legally bind you. Regardless of how much u love each other..think things though...and if the answer is obviously getting married,  then do so. .
Don't forget that if u two are meant to be,  there's no need to rush into anything. ..

Age is an issue of mind over matter - if you don't mind it doesn't matter. In other words - age means squat. I have met 14 year olds that are more mature than 40 year olds. The better question is...are you financially stable enough and mature enough for marriage? Marriage is a commitment. Love is an action, not just a feeling. Are you committed to the point that you will fix any issues you have, and not just say "oh well it didn't work" and divorce. Our society has taken on a "if it's broken - get rid of it and buy a new one" thought process, instead of the older thought process of "if it's broken - fix it". Take age out of it completely and ask yourself if you are ready for marriage. I got engaged at 17 (and was not mature enough at all) but thankfully we got good information from our mentors and we grew together and didn't get married until 20. At that point we were definitely mature enough and ready for marriage. Now three years later we do not regret our decision to be married young, and we are even closer now than the day we said, "I Do". We also have a 1 year old daughter and our second daughter on the way and our marriage has remained strong throughout all the big life changes thus far. If you feel you are ready and you both want to take on the commitment to become one - then pay no attention to the date on your birth certificate!

My husband and I moved in together 6 months in at 18 and 19, engaged on our one year anniversary at 19 and 20, married 8 months later at 20 and 21. We're now 21 and 22 and have been ttc for over a year. Below is our first picture as a couple and one of our wedding pictures.

Well considering you have to be 18 to get married in most places unless you're emancipated... Get married when you're ready there's nothing wrong with that.  Being young and finding the love of your life is a blessing

Me and my husband got together at 15/16, moved in together at 17/18, engaged at 20/20 then married at 22/23 in November last year. I think there's no issue in getting engaged young, just give yourself plenty of time to make sure your sure and to save your pennies before the big day! Good luck x
