Valentine's day surprise

So my boyfriend rarely gets me gifts or surprises me which is fine most of the time I dont need much. However earlier this week he said has a Valentines day surprise for me so of course I start getting excited. I just found out the surprise is that he's taking me to see the movie hes been dying to see with HIS friends...like really? How is it a gift or surprise when its his friends and his movie? Idk I sound like a brat but I was so excited:(.
