When is it okay to tell friends an family

We had a test an we are almost 3 weeks along but I must say I wanna shout it from the roof tops.  My first ob is march 9th.

We told our family and friends pretty much as soon as we found out! We found out nearly 2 weeks after conception date and my partner was so excited he was about to burst and we couldn't keep it in! There are no rules on timing just what feels right for you :) It felt better telling people so we could move forward freely. We figured if we miscarry then at least we'd have a lot of support but we're not worried about that at all.

I told my best friend and my previous coworkers and we just found out this Monday haha! We are going to wait until we have our first ultrasound on March 16th and then we will tell our other friends and family after that. I also feel that if we were to miscarry, atleast we would have support (which is why I told my BFF the very 1st day I'm prego). I'm so excited though!! I want to tell the whole world but our families need to know 1st hahaha!

We aren't waiting the traditional 12-13 weeks. The miscarriage rate isn't as high as people seem to think it is. People act like its a 50% chance of miscarriage in the first trimester but that's not quite correct. For a normal healthy female it's only a 3-5% chance and most happen before people know they are pregnant! We are likely going to announce after our first ultrasound at the end of the month, we may wait until 10 weeks after my first full prenatal appt. but we haven't fully decided!

Announce it whenever feels right for you! There is no right or wrong time to announce.
