How many newborn and 0-3 months outfits would you buy?

Im a First Time Mom and don't won't to get too many clothes for her if she's gonna outgrow them fast!

My daughter fit in newborn for a month. They say two outfits a day plus a pair of pajamas. I got a ton of small clothes from my shower so I'd wait to buy small sizes.

I only bought a few preemie and NB because I know they grow pretty fast the first few months. But now I wish I wouldn't have brought the preemie bc my baby is already 7/8 pounds so I know he won't fit them. Just to be on the safe side I got a few of the same outfits in NB and 0-3 months and I'm just gonna donate all the clothes he won't get to wear since he's a chunckie baby 😊

You'll probably get a ton from a baby shower? Maybe just buy a couple. A "bringing home baby" outfit and maybe another one you can't live without ☺️

My son was 8lb 9oz, he was in newborn for almost a month. I had at least 20 outfits. Some shorts and tees, other fleece and pants (he was born in the month of March)

My son never fit into newborn at 9lbs 11oz, he went straight into 0-3 months.

So depending on your baby's weight they may not be in newborn for long if at all. I stuck to only a small handful of newborn items for my daughter and focused mostly on 0-3 months, 3 months, and 6 months.

You can always buy your newborn items in something gender neutral if your planning on having more babies, it's easy enough to store away for later use if you don't use them this time around.

I never bought bought more than 1 nb outfit to bring my kiddos home. They really didnt fit for long.

If you don't get a ton of stuff at your shower... I'd just get 2/day for a week. Then I'd only wash 3-4 of each size, so I could return the rest of the baby is big. I had an 80th percentile baby, half the NB stuff never fit in the first place.
