Zoloft while ttc?

I am on Zoloft for my 1st time ever because I'm struggling with emotions since I lost my baby in Nov at 20 weeks. We have decided to try again but is Zoloft safe or will it lessen our chances of conceiving? My Dr said it is safe but just wanted to see if anyone else has personal experience.

There's no studies based on conception. I've was on Zoloft 50mg and haven't concieved even once in a year. With absolutely no fertility issues. I just decreased my dose to 25mg and I will drop it next cycle again. I also had spotting while on Zoloft and it's known to cause irregular menstrual bleeding, so it's possible that it interferes with TTC.

It shouldn't effect conception but with regards to safety no medication is 100% safe although it's one of the safer antidepressants. Sorry for your loss. It's so hard isn't it?! I had 2 mcs last year and I'm struggling too. I was on Prozac before I conceived as I have suffered with anxiety and depression before I became pregnant (I came off half way through pregnancy number 1) but it's much worse now so thinking of going back on my meds :''-( xxx

Been on Zoloft 15 years (1/2 my life) and have been worried sick about ttc / having a baby while on it. Multiple doctors have assured me that as far as antidepressants go, it's the most studied, and as a momma to be you need to make sure you're feeling your best!

my doctor told me, zoloft/setraline is okay to take while pregnant, during any trimester. plus, it doesn't effect breastfeeding either. my thing was that I wanted a higher dosage, but she said it's best to stay at 50mg during my pregnancy.

I am on it and I got pregnant,just have to wean off it so the baby is born healthy

I was on Zoloft 200mg before both my pregnancies, and was weaned off when I became pregnant due to increased risk of baby having Autism (my doctor said it was my decision of whether I felt it best to stay on or wean off). But I have heard it is one of the better ones to be on while pregnant, and have not heard about it increasing miscarriage or it creating difficulties conceiving so should be fine.

I had a miscarriage in early June while on Zoloft. I weaned off it because I don't trust it now.

My sister was on Zoloft when she finally got pregnant after 5 years. Her husband had horrible sperm morphology too. Good luck!
