Minimum frozen embryos before doing any transfers if you were going for 2 children?

Husband & I are TTC#1 , but can't decide on how many embryos we should freeze (have to anyway due to PGS) before we start doing transfers. The doctors have recommended we transfer 2 at a time. I am scared of failure rate so would rather have more than less. Husband never took sex Ed so is irrationally optimistic that we only need 2 embryos = 1 FET to have 2 healthy children. We need to decide in 3 days.

You will prob have less after pgs testing so I would do 2 full cycles, freeze all embryos that make it, send them all for pgs testing together (so you only pay the pgs price tag once).

Thx for your feedback, everyone. As not all may pass PGS, I'm going to keep my 2nd cycle appointment (so do another egg retrieval) and THEN start with FETs. Sending you positive energy & good wishes on your journeys! 🐣

I pre booked a 2nd cycle of IVF way back so am wondering if should keep my appointment (do a 2nd egg retrieval). I want to have a "stockpile" (sounds so bad) of embryos in case some don't survive thawing/don't implant/I miscarry. Science can help me figure out my hormones/lining/timing but the one thing it can't do is have me make new eggs, and each time I've MCed, it took min 2 months for my body to heal & reset.

When I started at a clinic 3 years ago, they told me fresh is always best. Now there's conflicting opInions on doing a trAnsfer once body has had time to readjust itself after the retrieval- I.e. Freezing everything and transferring at a later time.
I just don't know. I wish you nothing but a healthy baby no matter which way you go, Toronto!

Why would you not freeze them all? I didn't know that was even a choice. My doctor automatically froze all 5 of our extra to save for baby #2, there was no decision to make.
