Newborn in daycare??

What are yalls views on putting your newborn in daycare? I personally am just too paranoid. I've been through too much at a young age and have seen too much and I just don't trust people enough to put my newborn baby in a daycare. I don't think I'll be doing daycare until he's at least 1. I want him to be able to know how to communicate with me so I'll know if anything ever happens. Everyone keeps asking me why I won't do daycare and that's really the only reason. Am I being too paranoid? I honestly don't think so but I just wanna know some opinions and thoughts from other people.
