When does the non- stop breastfeeding end?

My daughter will be 6 weeks on Wednesday. I feel like when she eats it lasts hours. For example today she's nursed 1-3 am, 6-7 am, 8-10 am 11:30-1pm, 4-5:30pm, 6- probably 9 pm. Then probably 11-12am. I know she's growing and they eat nonstop. I know my supply is good because I pump quite a bit a few times a day. But I'm ready for feedings to not take over an hour. I understand cluster feeding at night to prepare for sleep but when will our nursing sessions get shorter? I'm starting to go crazy...

Is your LO actively eating that entire time or nursing for comfort? My LO only actively eats on one side for about 10 minutes and only rarely will want the other side. Based on how much he eats when taking a bottle, he's getting about 4-5 oz a feeding. After the 10 minutes he would just nurse for comfort. We introduced a pacifier around 4 weeks. Since then, he rarely nurses for comfort. He just unlatches when he's done eating and occasionally will want the pacifier.

Mine just stopped at 14 weeks..he used to do the same.. It's been a rough couple months but I finally feel like we're making progress.. Hang in there if you can because it does get easier, but if you can't , you gave your baby a great gift already :)

Have you tried introducing a pacifier? My son did the same thing for the first few weeks when we broke down & gave him pacifier. It stopped instantly! His pediatrician said if he was on one side for longer than 10-15 mins he wasn't actually getting any milk he was just sucking. He still ate every 2&1/2 hours but feedings only lasted 20 mins. Hope it gets better!

It'll be a looooong time lol. Trust me , I breastfed my little girl until she was 2 and a half. And sometimes even at 2 she'd do it. It depends on the baby tho. But they tend to feed more when breastfed. It's hard but so worth it . I gotta admit I was always so exhausted
