Xulane rash

Hi! I'm on my second week of the Xulane patch (no other birth control ever used) and today I got a horrible itching rash and what I believe to be hives on my legs as well. I'm not sure why. I removed the patch because it itched so much and put a new one in a different place. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this or tips for treatment. Gyno recommended Hydrocortisone cream for the site of the rash and potentially switching meds, which I don't want to do unless this persists. Thanks!
