Let's say you're American and you know English and another language will you be teaching both to your kids?

Um yes! I was born in the USA I know English fluently but both of my parents were born in Mexico and my first language was Spanish. I now know both languages fluently and my future kids will definitely know English and Spanish. English because we're in the USA and Spanish because half of my family lives in Mexico and only knows Spanish. My boyfriend was also born in Mexico so he obviously knows Spanish also. Why not teach them both? It's also a good thing because in a future jobs will want to hire them because of it.

I'm not bilingual but I have a best friend who speaks fluent Spanish and she is going to teach my son Spanish. I'm going to learn along side them lmao...

I remember some from 3 years of it but not conversational. I remember how to conjugate those verbs though!

Friends of mine are bilingual and taught their child English and French simultaneously. I'm totally jealous, because I wish I was multilingual...
