Counting kicks?

Question

When did everyone start counting kicks?? Feeling my son kick all the time makes me want to start! But don't want to freak myself out one day if he is lazy! I will be 26 weeks on Wednesday!

If I counted my daughters kicks I'd be counting every minute she moves like crazy constantly 😊 I'm 24 weeks now and have been feeling her since 14 weeks but strong kicks started at 19

At 32 weeks I believe they have you start. I didn't count with my first three years ago but now with my second they want me to start counting around then. I'm currently 28 weeks btw

My doctor told me to start counting at 28 weeks. I have an anterior placenta, so for me it's 5 movements/kicks an hour, for at least a few hours out of the day.  I've heard other people say 6-10 kicks in an hour.

I haven't been told to start counting I'm 27+2 but I keep track. He moves and kicks so frequently that it's easy for me to do.

Around 30 is usually when dr wants you to start but it is best to start around 25 so you can get an idea of her movements and practice keeping track.. Also you can look for kick counter apps to help you
