Need weaning advice.

Long story short, I found out today that I have to have neck surgery next week and WON'T BE ABLE TO HOLD MY BABY FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS! As you can imagine, I'm devistated. He is 7 months old today and I'm still breastfeeding. I had planned on bf until a year old.

Anyway, I need advice on weaning him within 1 week. Is this even possible? He is used to nursing to go sleep every night.

He will take a bottle but definitely prefers the breast. I need advice to transition him and also to help me get through this.
