Early scan on nhs?

Hey UK ladies... Did any of you manage to get an early scan on the nhs? I'm 8w3d and had a private scan at 6w6d and all was fine, but now I'm really worried as I have no symptoms... Even my boobs feel like they've shrunk back to normal size and not painful any more... Seeing the midwife for first appt on sat when I'll be 9w but obviously won't have my normal 12w scan for another 3 weeks... And I don't think I can wait that long to see if my baby is ok... Been missing symptoms for about a week now! Please any advice would be much appriciated 😔

You should only worry if you are bleeding. There are so many people who don't have many symptoms. I ended up having an early scan at the early pregnancy unit in Glasgow due to bleeding and everything was perfect. Try and enjoy your pregnancy. I'm 13 weeks and have my dating scan this afternoon xxx

With my daughter, I had NO symptoms of being pregnant until I was out of the first trimester. I found out I was pregnant at 9wks with her. Hpt were negative and nothing changed besides a few cramps here and there, but I have stage 4 endometriosis so I cramp 24/7. My breasts didn't swell up til 14wks and I started leaking. Best believe if I didn't feel her move even once, my ass was in L&D. We've had our scares while I was pregnant with her, but she came out 5wks late and healthy. Now she's almost 2:)

If your concerned, are you able to go to your hospital? I'm not sure how it is over there, but I know here if I say I've been really sick and pregnant, they do a scan to check baby.

I know how you feel. I had a scan last Friday at 8+5 as I had a water infection and everything's fine. I'm still worried I'll see the worst at my 12 week scan though. I called 111 last night as I had concerns and out of hours called me back and were wonderful. They talked to me calmly about what happens to my body at this stage and really calmed my nerves.

I'm getting mixed views of 'it will be fine, my symptoms disappeared and everything was fine' to 'that's what happened to me and I had a silent miscarriage'... I feel so petrified and helpless at the moment...

Pregnancy symptoms can come and go but i do think that if you were previously having alot of symptoms and you wake up 1 morning with all of them gone tou should tell your midwife as thats what happened to me i waited a week just incase they came back before telling my midwife about my worry. My midwife took my concerns seriously while trying to reasure me that this may just be completely normal and arranged an early scan on the nhs. Which showed my poor baby hadnt made it past 5 weeks should have been almost 8 weeks. I got pregnant again and my midwife was so good and ordered an early reasuance scan at 8 weeks for me and this time i saw babys heartbeat beating away im now 13 weeks and have my scan today and am excited rather than nervous. I think the beat thing you can do is let your modwife know about your worry im sure they will take you seriously. Good luck.
