Help me understand the laproscopic procedure.

Kirsten
Finally met with reproductive endocrinologist yesterday. She determined my miscarriages were biochemical, and explained biochemical to me better than anyone else ever has. She also determined my ectopic was a month further along than I thought. So, ectopic on the left last year, and appendectomy on the right in 2010 have her worried my biochems are caused by scarring. So she's doing a laproscopic procedure in the next 2 weeks. If scarring, IVF. So here's my question: could she actually fix anything while she's in there, or is it really just to see what we're dealing with?? Can someone please share their similar experience??

Hi, I had a laprascopy Dec 2014 and they did remove a small amount of endometritis whilst they were in there. I also had the dye test to check that my tubes were functioning. Not sure if this helps but I'm guessing that if they can remove endometritis they may be able to fix other problems during a lap.

Hey ladies, I had a laproscopy October 3rd of 2015. They determined that my uterus was clear of any issues. I also had a diffusion where ink was flushed through my ovaries to see if everything was open and they determined everything was ok. My doctor told me to BD on cd12, 14 and 16. November 10th I found out I conceived. I unfortunately miscarried and am now on the journey of finding a solution and bring a rainbow into my life. The procedure was pretty simple, I was put under and went home three hours after it was complete. I was in recovery and off work for two days and only took Motrin and an antibiotic. The only discomfort was inside my belly button where they entered. I would rate it an overall 4/10 for pain. Good luck! I hope you get the answers you seek.

Following this topic. This is very interesting. My fertility experience was with fibroids, so I don't honestly know, but I'm very interested.

I'd like to know too - I've had 2 mcs (one was suspected ectopic) and 2 chemicals. I have suspected endometriosis so if found and lots of scarring I'm going to ask about IVF. Sorry for your losses xxx

Thanks for sharing. Losses suck. I'm really hoping this helps me, but I don't know that she'll find anything or be able to fix anything. So I'm focusing on cleaning my house so it won't be messy if Mom comes to take care of me.
