Is this bad of me?

Is it bad that I KNOW I will quit smoking once I find out I'm pregnant but I can't seem to find the courage to do it right now as I'm ttc? I feel selfish. Has anyone else had these thoughts?

It's not bad or selfish. That was my plan, but then Friday morning I woke up and was just done with smoking. Haven't picked up a cigarette since. You'll know when it's time for you to quit.

I say quit before pregnancy , it can cause unnecessary stress durring pregnancy which isn't good for baby , and the first trimester is crucial .   I smoked, when i found out I was pregnant I cut down to a Cigarette a day. but didn't full on quit until around 6 weeks and only was able to  because of severe morning sickness. I've known a lot of women who tried to quit while pregnant and couldn't.  My son is now almost 2 and I haven't smoked since . but every time I think about the fact I was inhaling toxic chemicals that went straight to him , I think of it as would you blow smoke into your newborns face?? Because that's basically what's happening when you smoke while pregnant.

Change is hard and we often need that big push to get things moving but I highly recommend you stop smoking ASAP, smoking increases your chance of miscarriage and often times you can miscarry before you even know your pregnant.

It's not bad of you, and it's especially good that you're down to one cig a day, but something to keep in mind is that it can lower your chances of getting pregnant in the first place. Maybe just set a specific date for quitting completely, like if you TTC for 2 more months (or whatever length of time you feel comfortable with) and still no bfp, you quit in order to increase your chance? Just an idea ☺ I think that might be good motivation as well.

Thank you guys! I have already cut back to only a couple a day compared to 10 a day but I can't seem to just up and quit! I will do this! Gonna try to cut back even more!
