Cloth or disposable diapers? Out of curiosity…

For me it's money. We are going to do cloth mostly and disposable when traveling. Cloth is usually about $400 for the supplies, etc. For the first year. Disposable ~$1400 a year....I'd rather not spend that money I could have saved on a baby butt. Plus diapers are not very biodegradable. If you buy the biodegradable diapers the price goes up a bit.

I've been told to not worry about cloth diapering in the very beginning and worry more about routine. After that, we plan on doing both. Disposable for travel for sure.

IMO , cloth diapers are more work and as a FTM , I don't have time for the extra laundry😱 I know how disposables work so that's why I chose them :-)

Im doing both. My other 3 kiddos were really sensitive to disposable. I figured cloth at home and disposables out and about.

We're going to do all disposable at first, and then once we get the hang of having a baby, we'll transition to cloth diapers at home and disposable when we go out. So a nice mixture

I cloth diapered my first three babies. By the fourth, combined with our hard water issues, we just did cloth for the first few weeks, then disposables. This baby will be in disposables too, because I don't feel like having to mess with hard water, stink and wicking issues.
