My son was born January 26th at 1:37pm after 16 hrs of Labour. We started the thrusday before I was induced with the cervidal I had a horrible reaction to it. Went to l and d and they took it our immediately. Had to stay for 4hrs till contractions lessened. Went in on the Monday the 25th was 2cm. The doctor did a sweep then broke my water an hr later. I walked the halls for 3-4hrs till the back labor hit. I planned on going natural but caved to the pain and got the epidural. I hated the epidural felt like a vegetable. Stuck in bed, being checked every 15 mins. I labored in bed for hours and dilated to 10. Then baby's heartbeat went down I pushed for 40 mins and he was born. I had so much fluid the doctor had to jump out of the way lol huge mess. Our son came out blue and had to be worked on and was rushed immediately to nicu. He had some breathing issues ect and had to be in oxylator. We ended up staying in nicu for just over two weeks. I got to stay in a self care room and help the nurses take care of my son. It was one of the hardest experiences in my life. We have been home 1 week and my son is 3 weeks today. It's been a whirlwind experience. I'm so grateful to the amazing nurses and doctors. But glad to be home. God bless other mom's that don't get to hold there babies at birth or who have to go through a similar experience as me.
