Last week my Ob booked me in for induction on Thursday (tomorrow) I'll be 39+2. Doc wanted to induce due to high blood pressure and pretty severe swelling, plus my thyroid hasn't been monitored the pregnancy. Was at the hospital for 7 hours yesterday as they were trying to determine if I should still be induced...ended up another doc telling me that the previous doctor had made the decision to induce for a reason and that he wasn't gonna go against it. Did a few tests and they said everything's pretty stock standard and it's up to me if I want to go ahead with induction. Pretty frustrating as I really don't mind either way I feel like this is a decision that should be made by a medical professional. My Aunty is a midwife and she said I have the right to say no and if there's no medical reason I shouldn't go ahead with the induction. Just curious to know if any of you have been in the same position and if everything was ok would you go ahead with induction?
