With my son I was in labor at the hospital for 6 and a half hours including delivery... Well my daughter decided she wanted to beat that record... I was at the hospital for an hour... Including delivery.

I had inconsistent period like cramps Saturday night.. Tried timing them but they were different times that made me think nothing was going on. So I went to bed but every time I'd get a cramp I'd wake up and turn onto my other side thinking it would help. Woke up in the morning and kinda figured it was early labor. I still thought nothing of it because plenty of women experience that and still end up waiting days before labor actually happens. Finally i was feeling like the only way to tolerate the contractions were to walk... Until it quickly became impossible to even walk.. I called and they said to come in. My sister in law drove me because my fiance was working. I got there and couldn't even fill out the paperwork that I was supposed to because of the pain. I was checked and found out I was 8 cm!! I freaked out. Got to my room, begging for an epidural and complaining about how I felt so much pressure and I needed to poop. Tried but couldn't, they were ready to get the anesthesiologist but needed to check me first to make sure I wasn't completely dilated. Just my luck... I was 10 cm and ready to break my water and push. The pressure was so bad that I was pushing even before the doctor broke my water. No epidural, and 5 minutes of pushing and Kylie was born! My sister in law cut the umbilical cord because she was my support through the most terrifying and unexpected experience of my life. My daughter came so fast and unexpectedly that her father missed her birth. I love my valentines baby.
