Difference between copper IUD and the mirena??

Question

Ok so I'm 4 months postpartum and I'm thinking about getting on anIUD but I don't know which one, the copper or the Mirena! Is there a huge difference between the 2? I know the mirena has hormones and the cooper one doesn't but I need more info! Which one would u recommend? 
Can I trust them 100%?
Will my partner feel the strings during sex? 
Is there a possibility of it coming out on its own? 
Will my period be the same? 
Pros and cons, I need as much information as I can get so drop a comment below!!  Thanks in advance :)

I had the mirena for 5 years and had no problems. Rarely got my period but they we're light. My partner couldn't feel the strings and I had no mood swings or anything like that. Also I got pregnant not even a month after removing it.

I had the mirena. I still got my period monthly. But I didn't feel like my hormones were on a rampage. The strings curl up after some time, so it's not very likely he will feel it. Plus have you seen how tiny they really are? Honestly I loved it it was the only bc I felt safe on. 
BUT! I found myself getting a LOT of utis when I had it in. I don't know if it's a coincidence but I haven't had any since I took it out. I finally took it out when I had a uti that turned into a kidney infection the pain was so bad that I thought it was the mirena implanting itself in my uterine wall. Even though dr assured me it wasn't it, I just wanted it out. My mom had the IUD and it implanted in her and she had to have it surgically removed 😩. 
Now that I think of it the only pro to it was how safe I felt on it. I don't think I would do it again. The pain of having it out in and taken out sucked. & im just too afraid of it implanting itself.

OK I had both and the copper iud  was horrible!  I had the worst periods ever!  Every month I went through an entire box of tampons and that wasn't the worst part.  I had cramps that literally brought me to my knees in pain! I was lying on the floor at work one day! With Mirena I had no period. Only bad symptom was a low sex drive.

I used the cooper one...best thing ever!!! No hormones, so no mood swings. And if you want to get pregnant...you can take it out and not have to wait till the progesterone wears off. The only thing is that it makes your periods a little heavier. Which Id rather have than be depressed and have all those mood swing changes.

I had the copper IUD for seven years. And didnt have any problem with it. With the copper it makes you have heavier periods special the first months which was the only down side to it. But other than that it was good!! .....of course there is always that chanc of it coming out but i think that depends if the doctor puts it in right and if the cut the strings how its suppose to be then im sure your husband wont feel them

I had Mirena which was a 5 year IUD with hormones. I rarely got my period, and when I did, it was light. My SIL had the copper one which is a 10 year IUD. She didn't like it because she said she felt like she smelled like a penny all the time, but it is effective longer. I'm going back to Mirena after I have this baby. It worked well for us.

For me, I didn't have any problems with my Mirena. 
Me or husband could not feel the strings. I had mine 7.5 yrs. 
it took about 3 min to remove it. 
Only thing I will say, is I feel I gained some weight with it. 
I also still had my periods.. No cramps and they were light.
