What is this???

My mom and I walked yesterday for half an hour really fast paced. I know this isn't long. For about a week now I've been losing my mucous plug. All evening and night up to now still I've been having bad back and front cramping is this the start of something??? I'm 40+1 and excited and nervous and scared all at the same time. I have a doctor appointment today and really nervous I'm still not dilated or effaced. If this is a tiny bit of what labor feels like thank hid for epidurals. I really wanted to go natural but idk if the pain gets any worse than this. Please give me your thoughts!!!

Possibly latent labor. I had never heard of it till I talked to my doula. I've had it for over a week. She said it can be worse at night. Mine starts with low back pain and then lots of belly tightness and low cramping. It comes and goes for about an hour then I'm fine lol. I am ready for the real thing though- just get here already baby!!

I labored at home in early labor for over 24, starting with bad cramps. I then was in active labor for 19 hours, starting at 5cm at the hospital, and had my baby on 40+3.

It could be! I had bad cramping for two days before the contractions really started, then it just got worse from there. I had an epidural and while it helped me to rest, it completely stopped working about 3 hours before delivery and I felt the worst of everything. In the end it was all worth it though. Good luck!
