Tired of the mixed babies obsession

Maybe it is because this app is all about babies, but I feel like when people see pictures of interracial relationships, they only think about the "beautiful babies" that will be created. I think mixed babies are a bit fetishized, and it is almost demeaning to them as persons. I am in an interracial marriage, but having mixed babies was never my goal. I have gotten plenty of those comments about how beautiful our babies will be. But frankly, I am more worried about how they will fit in and find their identity, than about how gorgeous they will look. I am concerned about raising them well, with sensitivity to their cultural heritages, but also to their unique identity as biracial people. These issues to me are more important than their looks, which to obsess about is quite superficial I think.
