When are you creating your baby registry?

I started one awhile ago just so I could put things on it as other mothers made suggestions.  No one knows about it but it has been helpful to have and help me remember what everyone suggested.

I only create one for myself. Like a wish list. Or need to get list. Plus for the discounts after. But I learned with my first child. (On number 4 now) that no one I know even looks at them. I don't even look at others , I just get them stuff I know they will need.

I started mine a while back. I do as many places as I can because my family is scattered and locations vary based on where everyone lives. Buy Buy Baby, Babiesrus, Target, Walmart. Plus you usually get a nice welcome bag with lots of coupons and freebies wherever you register and some even offer a registry completion discount so if nothing else you get the perks for yourself.

I'm not doing a registry. In my family, we talk to each other and if you need something, we share and help out. So my family knows what I need and that's fine. Plus I am a minimalist and have just basics. This is my third, so I already have everything except breastpump and carseat.
