Mold in pump?

I have the medela manual hand pump and I seen some mold in my pump today I was it everyday with hot water , and a brush I'm I doing something to cause the mold ? What can I do? Washed it with bleach and boiled it and seems it went away.

Mold is almost inevitable with pumps unfortunately, but if you don't wash your pump after every use, you can store your pump in the fridge in between pumps. Just pop it in a ziplock bag and then pull it out for your next pump. It'll help if you aren't washing in between every pump.

They sell the spare pieces at babies r us, I noticed the same thing & replaced them recently
