On 02/16/16 I woke up with absolutely no signs of labor at all (had an appointment the day before and was told I was 4 cm and 70%effaced). This is my 4th baby. I was getting my older 2 kids off to school and starting having contractions at 7:30am. I had been having braxton hicks for the last 2 weeks so I didn't think anything of it. The kids went to school and the contractions were getting stronger right away. I drank a glass of water and got in the shower, it's now about 7:50...I could no longer "handle" the contractions and told my husband to get our other daughter ready because we needed to go now. By the time I was getting into the car 10 minutes later my water broke. Previous births told me I wasn't getting very far at that point and went back in the house. My husband called 911, and while he was upstairs getting towels I delivered my baby girl at about 8:15am. Only 45 minutes after my first contraction! The paramedics arrived to cut the cord and transfered us to the hospital. This was definitely not in my birth plan, but everyone is doing great! Delaney Fayth weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 19.5 inches.
