Taboo Tuesday: Why can't men talk about their fertility?

Gunce • Head of Research at Glow. Unwilling infertility expert. 2 kids after 4 years of infertility treatments.

It has been my experience - both on Glow and with the multitudes of couples I have assisted during their fertility journey - that men do not like to talk about their fertility. Some take it as a personal insult if you ask them to go get their sperm tested. As if the virility of the sperm is somehow tied to manhood. Has this been your experience as well? Or is your male partner open about this process?

I'd also be curious if this is the same in same-sex couples for the non-conceiving partner. Are they more reluctant to delve into fertility topics? Or are they right there with you?
