I got skyla (3 yr iud) today and after speaking with my dr n friends I was told no big deal... You'll be able to go about your day just take an ibuprofen and it'll be a pinch. Well they all lied! Because the meds she gave me to dilate did not work my cervix was closed (28 n no kids)... I had cramping and felt nauseous immediately after. Cramping did not stop or really even decrease until I finally left work n went home n took a hot shower. I have never experience any pain like that...
