My sister who is 19 lost her virgintiy when she was 14 and has had multiple boyfriends, but I'm 17 and have only had 1 boyfriend but my dad bitched about it so much, so I know he didn't approve and would definitely not approve of sex. He even used to say that I should become a nun.
Would you do this to your kids?

Wait until you're ready. It's not all what it's cracked up to be. There a lot that comes along with sex and if you aren't ready to handle it, then you need to wait and not worry yourself with it. Making a decision to have sex shouldn't be determined on your sister's age. I would tell my child they need to be a nun, but I'd Def say that they need to wait until they mature enough.

I wouldn't go that extreme as to tell my kids to become nuns, but in my house growing up it was expected that we didn't have sex before marriage, and definitely not while living at home. While under my dad's roof, we followed his rules and standards. I think this is a perfectly reasonable thing to do, especially because it's out of love. My dad, and I'm sure your dad too, was just trying to protect me. I worked. I didn't have sex until my wedding night, and because I had gone that whole time protecting my virginity, I think it was more special when I finally did it than it would have been otherwise. Dad's are smart, you should listen to yours. Except don't become a nun if you don't want to haha.
