Worried! Sleeping on your right side?

Question

Anyone scared to sleep on any side other than the left? I'm getting too big to sleep on my stomach anymore and I read an article that said sleeping on the right side later in pregnancy could have relation to stillbirths 😢 Anyone heard of this?

Not to alarm anyone but women have been sleeping in different positions during pregnancy for centuries.. With so many other concerns or things that you could do wrong in pregnancy I wouldn't freak out over this. Your body will tell you when something is wrong just pay attention, I wake up every time I roll over on my back at night so I roll back to my side.

I sleep on both sides. ..these ppl come up with too many things to scare pregnant women...for crying out loud women in the congo having healthy babies everyday sleeping in the bush ...smh .

It doesn't even matter which position I fall asleep in, I wake up in a different one. I move so much in my sleep 😂

I asked my doctor if it was safe for me to continue to sleep on my back and stomach since I have a hard time sleeping on my side and he said "oh Brianna you will eventually be too big to sleep comfortably on your stomach, until then sleep however you want" he basically just said not to freak over how I'm sleeping bc it really doesn't matter I have a very relaxed older male OB who is absolutely amazing at easing my mind

I don't think it's true. I've read that SOS (sleep on side) is a mantra during pregnancy. As long it's your side...doesn't matter which. Except that left is much more beneficial with regards to blood flow etc. If you're really concerned perhaps speak to your OB at next appointment just to make sure.

I still sleep on my stomach,slept on my stomach with my youngest the whole nine months and he was 9lb 6oz

My dr sais sleep however is comfortable for as long as it's comfortable.  My body will let me know when it's not safe.  I'm going with that!

Many doctors just recommend you sleeping however you can get a good nights rest. Bring it up at your next appointment if you're really worried about it, but I have a feeling it's more important that you just get a good nights rest while you can.

I can only sleep on my left side when I move to my right or my back I feel a ton on pressure on my belly.

My Doctor told me whatever is comfortable. I asked her about this yesterday because my left hip feels like it's gonna explode if I stay in that position for too long
