Have any of you ladies had appendicitis while pregnant?

I saw my Dr on Thursday and mentioned my symptoms to her and she said to keep an eye on it.

She said it could either be stretching or early appendicitis.. I'm 17 weeks 4 days and so worried.

I have pain in my right side that's like a sharp shooting burning pain that shoots from near my hip to my belly button and nothing makes it better. It has been happening since Wednesday evening. It isn't constant but I comes and goes and I've been getting hit flashes in and off as well as being dizzy.

I would appreciate any opinions on this as I'm worried like I said.
