Can my babies pediatrician prescribe me pills that help balance or produce more hormones that help my milk production increase?

Shouldn't the first question be about possible dietary changes instead of looking for a chemical prescription?

There are a lot of food and herbal options for increasing milk production. And drink drink drink! With my first baby I swore I was drinking enough water (8 glasses at least) but in hindsight I realized I wasn't. My daughter didn't take to breastfeeding so I had to pump exclusively. So I tried everything I could to increase production. There are cookies you can make or order online (milkn cookies) and just a lot of natural options before an rx. 
Though in answer to your question, yes there is one thing that can be prescribed that is thought to give a boost. i forget the name of it but it is not exclusively for milk, just something they found had that as a side effect. You would probably have to ask your OB. I will caution I heard awful stories about it also causing depression and exhaustion. I actually got the prescription but decided not to take it as I figured I was tired enough and didn't need any more risk for depression (postpartum and having a nicu baby was hard enough).

Try fenugreek and thistle milk! My
Cousin swears by them. She has so much milk that she donates it to a friend that couldn't breastfeed! You can get both on Amazon. Good luck!

What makes you think you aren't producing enough? Are you supplementing? Difficulty pumping? Baby seems to be eating too often?

You might be in better shape than you think. 😉

Most women opt for herbal supplements because there is no medication that is made for lactation. There are a couple that have that effect but it's really an off label use and there can be side effects.

Earth Mama Angel Baby and Motherlove are two companies with products on Amazon that can help improve milk supply. Most of these products contain fenugreek which can make babies gassy. But I've used their products without that issue.
