Placenta bleeding

Last night i had to take my wife to the ER she was cramping and had bleeding. Got there the baby was moving around and still had a strong heart beat. The doctor told us that it was a failed miscarriage due to the placenta bleeding which he said it common im pregency. This is my wife and I thrid pregency got all girls and this time it a boy. I was wondering from a fathers point of view if anyone else has dealt with something like this. This is the first time it has happened to us. And woman feel free to comment cause i know you all have to carry and deal with everything that happens.
